| L782 has arrived in Vidalia and is swapping power with L781, creating a momentary gaggle of the railroad's recently acquired ex NS B32-8s. These units were in the 3500 number series when delivered to NS and were renumbered to the 500 series shortly before retirement (simply by dropping the "3") to make room for secondhand SD40-2s going into the 3500 series. The GC acquired these units from Wabtec, and they retained their former NS numbers. |
