A westbound Burlington Northern coal empty is tucked in Sully Springs siding and a crewman is on the ground to make a visual inspection as an eastbound coal train approaches on the main line on the afternoon of August 9, 1991. BN’s EMD SD60Ms were new at the time, and many of them were assigned to this former Northern Pacific line through North Dakota.
