| Utah Ry. got into the business of hauling crude oil fairly early as seen in this shot of a UTAH train descending the 2% grade off of the west side of Soldier Summit. The oil in these tankers is hot! It has a very high wax content and will set up like candle wax if the temperature drops below about 105 degrees F. |
