Remarks & Notes
Two Amtrak roster rarities stand together at the Ivy City terminal in Washington, DC. Amtrak 47 was one of three Washington Terminal RS1’s that received Amtrak’s Phase III paint scheme. Amtrak 746 was the only S2 on the roster, having started life as U.S. Army 7110, later becoming Amtrak 7110 in the Phase I scheme before being renumbered and repainted in Phase III.
