      Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific's Costa Mesa Local normally operates with two GPs, but on this day the second locomotive (GP60 1083) was missing, perhaps sent to West Colton Yard for some routine maintenance. This left only UP GP40P-2 1375 (ex-SP 7602, née-SP 3199) to handle the train, which is enough power but it meant that the southbound run of UP train LOA32 required 1375 to operate long-hood-forward … and I missed it!. So I had settle for a shot of the northbound run instead. (Orange, California – June 29, 2022)
