Empty coal train from the Columbia Generating Plant near Portage, WI makes its way west up the CP River Sub towards St. Paul, MN. At St. Paul a BNSF crew will take over the train for forwarding to Wyoming.
After having the contract for many years, BNSF lost the contract to the UP with interchange to the CP at Clinton, IA. The BNSF just recently won the contract back. This was the first or second BNSF coal train under the new contract.
