    Remarks & Notes
Goat Boats at Dawn. BNSF 1078, a 1996 product of General Electric, catches the first light of the day at Oro Grande as it, along with a fellow Heritage 1 painted Dash-9, a warbonnet and two other units, lug a heavy S train toward its next crew change point at Barstow. Unfortunately for this train's crew, which went on duty in the early morning hours of June 25, it will be a long trip the final miles into Barstow as dozens of trains remain backed up on either side of town.
