| An early departure from the Cumberland, MD, station allowed for the last rays of sunlight to illuminate the evening Moonlight on the Mountain trip of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad on July 1. The WMSR (ex-C&O) 2-6-6-2 1309 leads the train westbound around Helmstetters Curve. I had previously done this show with the 1309 dressed in Christmas lights, so flying only the US flags was a welcome change. |
