Just A Puff. Recently reactivated NYLE 308 (née-Erie 308, S1, Alco, 11/1946) notched it up at just the right time as it was crossing Cattaraugus Creek in Gowanda, New York on Saturday, June 25, 2022. A photographers special was operated over most of the operable track of the New York & Lake Erie (NYLE). Normal excursions on the New York & Lake Erie RR Train Rides do not operate over this bridge.
New York state has the largest number of ALCO diesel locomotives working in everyday service. Here are some of them. Soon I hope to chronicle all of them.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
