Sunset at Sunset Seat. A hazy sunset was descending upon Torrey Pines Beach in Del Mar, California on July 24, 2020 as Amtrak/Amtrak California Train 784 (CDTX 2110, SC-44 leading) approached the underpass at North Torrey Pines Road. The crowd gathered on the bluff is getting into position to watch the sunset at the aptly named Sunset Seat. Since this photo was taken, active construction at this site to prevent further erosion has also introduced some trackside fencing.
