On a gloomy last day of July, Norfolk Southern train 25Z (Harrisburg, PA-Chicago, IL intermodal) begins the climb up the slope between Altoona, PA and Cresson, PA on the NS Pittsburgh line. This train is moments from entering the world famous Horseshoe Curve.
