An extra east Wisconsin Central train, led by former Milwaukee Road SDL39 No. 585, is climbing Byron Hill between Fond du Lac and Hamilton, Wisconsin, on the morning of February 2, 1992. The 2,300 hp SDL39 rides on export trucks with uneven axle spacing and is only 55 feet-2 inches long, making it even shorter than a GP7!
