                Remarks & Notes
The Revenue Room And The R-1. NYCT R-1 381 (ACF, 1930-31) was leading the museum consist heading for Coney Island Yard ahead of the NY Transit Museum’s “Parade Of Trains” as it passed through the Jay Street/Metrotech Station on Friday, September 16, 2022. The roll up gate is now just an oddity in the otherwise uniform tiling on the wall, but was once where the famed “Money Train” would make its deposits. While the car was not as dramatic looking as its Hollywood imitation in the movie, it was very much how money was collected across the subway until 2006.

The scenic Adirondack and Catskill Mountains offer wonderful views, but political forces have made it difficult for railroads to stay in business.

It's dark, hot and too much people in this mass transit transportation!
