| Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway train climbs Pikes Peak on a cold June morning. On a normal day passengers riding at this location are treated to spectacular views, but alas, this day was a foggy one. (Trains still ran full though... a testament to how entertaining the train crews are). The building visible to the left of the locomotive used to house section crew who lived there year round, maintaining the line. Taken at 12,000 feet above sea level from the cab of unit 29. |
