Santa Fe EMD SD39 No. 1567 shines in the afternoon sun on the afternoon of September 1, 1991, at the railroad’s locomotive facility at Corwith Yard near Chicago, Illinois. Similar looking to the 2,000 hp SD38, the 2,300 hp SD39 is turbocharged and has one large rectangular exhaust stack.
