| The ties in the foreground are the reason NJ Transit assigned this diesel-powered set to the Gladstone Line. A maintenance of way project had the line shut down midday for a few weeks in August. When the CNJ heritage unit held this assignment, it understandably drew a lot of attention. Here 4109 shoves into Far Hills station past two relics from the Lackawanna era: the freight house and Milepost 39 in the weeds to the left. |
