| The coaling tower at Marceline stood the test of time back in late 2021, but the rumors would come true in November. The coaling tower was leveled and another part of history was taken off the map. Marceline once served as headquarters for the Missouri Division for the Santa Fe. Not much is left of the yard here, the headquarters is now a museum. Trains blast thru here with crew runs between Fort Madison/Galesburg and Kansas City. Here a westbound Z-train rolls down main #2 just west of downtown Marceline with container traffic bound for the Logistic Park west of KC. |
