"Rescue at Eagle Street"
On the afternoon of October 17, 2022, A local reporter grabs "the shot" and crews from multiple agencies assess damage as Metro-North Railroad's "NH Switcher", with EMD GP35r 101, arrives at the scene of an earlier grade crossing strike at Eagle Street along the Waterbury Branch in Waterbury, CT.
The wreck occurred earlier that morning when a truck driver stopped his tractor-trailer on the track after side swiping a van. The truck driver tried moving his truck out of the way as Metro-North Waterbury Branch train #1957 came around the curve. He was unsuccessful.
