The Pacific Railroad Society Mountain Outin Special, with Amtrak 517 and Amtrak 518 on the point, has just picked up passengers at the station in San Bernardino and is now heading east towards Cajon Pass. Westbound Santa Fe 3443 is about to pass us, with traffic, (and probably some railfans) on the I-15 freeway. The next day, the train made the return trip on the same route. Yes, every vestibule was occupied by railfan photographers the entire trip.
