New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R42 no. 4794 (St. Louis Car Co., 1969-1970) is the lead motor on a garbage train seen stopped at Bedford-Nostrand Aves station on the IND Crosstown Line. These cars were retired from revenue service in February 2020 - the rear pair on this train led the celebratory final run - and have since used to power garbage trains like this across the B Division. |
