BNSF 972, 968, 966, 963, 964, brand new GE C44-9W locomotives just yarded their ELBNA train and are heading to the diesel service tracks at Clyde Yard in Cicero Illinois. These are the first of the BNSF's New paint scheme and the second release from GE. The first release a month earlier with BNSF 964, 962, 961, and 963 were rejected by BNSF and sent back to GE at Erie PA due to a painting error. The air horns, steps, and walkways were painted ATSF red and not dark green to match the body color. This second release (in front of LaVerne Tower) still shows the red walkways. But later releases will be painted dark green.
