M8 EMU 9113 (Kawasaki, 2011) is the lead motor on a New Canaan Branch train arriving at Talmadge Hill station. The branch diverges from the main New Haven Line east of Stamford, and has just four stations up to the terminus of New Canaan. Though the trains are newer and longer than the one- or two-car "Dink" shuttles that used to run here, service is still typically an hourly shuttle to and from Stamford; during peak hours trains provide direct service to and from Grand Central Terminal. |
