The 12:30 departure to the North Pole is underway with newly painted #602 at the helm. While this locomotive may only see seasonal service, the other two ex-ESWR also feature their own variants of paint that will be used throughout the year. They have essentially eliminated the need for a second motor, specifically one to pull east, but there will still likely be "teams" put together as needed. They plan to put the two operational F-units in limited service for 2023, so that will be something.
