Montana Rail Link’s Laurel to Missoula road freight (LM) on its assault on Bozeman Pass with eight SD45s and SD45-2s just west of Livingston, Montana, on September 23, 2002. A set of five of the big machines is being used as a point helper on a three-unit set of road power, and the train will work past the red signal displayed from the BNSF Q train ahead, also climbing the hill. One-hundred and sixty cylinders fighting gravity!
