| A pair of Canadian National Dash 8's are on the point of T-Bird ore shuttle U731 as it eases through the loader at the Thunderbird Mine in Eveleth, Minnesota. Heavy haul dump trucks like the one seen at right bring raw iron ore out of the pit, where it is loaded on to these shuttle trains for transport to the Fairlane Taconite Plant in Forbes where it is processed into taconite pellets for shipment to steel mills. |
