| Winter steam at its best! Narrow-gauge 0-6-2T "U series" steam locomotive #298.53 is crossing the bridge of Waldneukirchen with a Christmas train bound for Grünburg on the Steyrtalbahn museum railway. This locomotive was built in 1898 by Krauss & Comp. in Linz, for the N?LB (Nieder?sterreichischen Landesbahnen), Austria. It has belonged to the ?GEG (?sterreichische Gesellschaft für Eisenbahngeschichte) since 1984 and it came back in service after a complete overhaul earlier this year. The track gauge is 760 mm (2 ft 5 15/16 in).
