On the afternoon of December 28, 1995, a Burlington Northern local freight, arrives at Rochelle, Illinois. The “caboose hop” is powered by BN GP9 No. 1977, a former Spokane, Portland & Seattle locomotive built by EMD in June of 1956, and is set up to operate long hood forward.
