Be True To Your Wheels. Early on the morning of Saturday, January 14, 2023, Fore River Transportation GE B23-7s 102 (née-CR 1980, 4/1979) and 101 (née-CR 1992, 4/1979) were brought to the Amtrak Southampton Street Facility to have their wheels "trued". Wheel truing in a process that rotates the axle of a truck and a cutting tool to restore the correct wheel profile. Joining the B-Boats were former-New York Central caboose 21052 (N7B, 1963) and Fore River caboose #01 (N5B, née-Pennsylvania Railroad 477696). This equipment normally serves the Fore River Shipyard in the Quincy Point neighborhood of Quincy, Massachusetts.
