Drivers view on the Jungfrau Railway, entering the Eismeer crossing station on 3158 meter a.s.l., deep inside the Eiger mountain, when coming from the Jungfraujoch, top of Europe. The gauge is 1 meter, Strub cogwheel system, 3-phase, 1,125 V 50 Hz overhead wire. The Jungfrau railway from Kleine Scheidegg to the Jungfraujoch was inaugurated in 1912.
