Russell Reroute:
Due to the major derailment in East Palestine, OH, NS began rerouting its premium intermodal traffic across various lines. NS 259 (GI8-Kansas City) is seen here knocking down the N&W CPLs at Russell in Waynesboro, VA as the train takes a turn south toward Roanoke before heading west toward Kansas City. Of note, this was the first 259 (old 21T) to ever run down the Shenandoah Valley.
