Bullet nose beauties face off at Amtrak's Holgate St. coach yard in Seattle, WA. To the left Budd domed observation 9310 was once owned by Wabash and later Norfolk & Western. To the right, 9301, The Silver Vista, reveals its Burlington Zephyr heritage with its full length skirting. It was one of two dome observations acquired for Twin Cities Zephyr service. I had a chance to ride in it or its sister in May 1967. I also rode the 9310 in Amtrak service between Seattle and Portland. Two of my favorite cars, they were in service in the mid-70s between Vancouver, BC and Portland.
