Boy just don't see this kind of hammering much anymore on a class 1. This westbound Global 2 to Portland, OR, Z-train is racking up the mileage in short order. This guy has had green signals since Rochelle on the Illinois side, and would have them at least thru Watkins on the Iowa side (160 miles). Also the dispatcher is kicking other westbounds to main #2 ahead, so he hasn't had to crossover either. With 4 of the 5 units online the train passes thru CPA 32 west of Calamus with the throttle in the left corner. We jumped on 30 and followed them to Cedar Rapids, and never seen him again. UP still moves some of their Z-trains, but UPS must not be as impress as the train only had 1 UPS trailer.
