Back in October 2022, the daily Waterloo to Kirk Yard trains, began running with alot of SD70M-2's. Pairs, trios, and a 5-pack of solid EMD's were seen in and out of Waterloo. A big departure from the constant supply of foreign power normally coming in and out of Iowa on these trains. Here a trio of 70's (2x1 DP'd) power this 8500 foot 338 out of Waterloo. Here the 137 car train gains speed east of Winthrop as cross Buffalo Creek on their way east towards Dubuque.
