      Remarks & Notes
Williamsburg in the Snow. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R143 no. 8265 (Kawasaki, 2001-2003) is the lead motor on a Queens-bound J train seen approaching Marcy Ave Station on the Jamaica Line. The tower in the background once controlled the junction between the extant line over the Williamsburg Bridge and the original Jamaica Line to Broadway Ferry. The two stations on the original route, Broadway Ferry and Driggs Ave, were closed in 1916 and demolished sometime thereafter.
