    Remarks & Notes
Open View Of The Testing. On the afternoon of March 25, 2023, Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway Kawasaki built R-211A led the 10-car train south through the 181 Street Station on the way to the Ozone Park–Lefferts Boulevard Station. Amongst other changes from the R-142/179 class, the R-211 has returned the larger color backed letter sign ("bullet") to the front of the train as well as a destination for the first time since the R-38s, thus the "Ozone Park". The 181 Street Station is a unique construction of the early IND, with 2 side platforms and a semi-open walkway above the tracks. As part of the thorough acceptance process, the R-211A is operating on a planned 30 day in service test to work out any final issues before taking delivery of the rest of the order. The train has been making 4 round trips a day between either Ozone Park–Lefferts Boulevard or Far Rockaway in regular A Line service.
