Newport Tower, Newport, MN, was operated by the Milwaukee Road and was used to permit crossover between Milwaukee and Burlington trains so that the two roads could operate a shared track arrangement between this location near St. Paul Yard (Pigs Eye) and St. Croix Tower near Hastings, MN. Rock Island also use trackage from here to St. Paul, and had a diverging line to cross the Mississippi River to reach Inver Grove nearby. The tower has been moved and saved in Newport.
