The little Southern Pacific Yard in Laws, California suddenly gets a bit busy with Locomotive #18 in the background freshly fueled and watered and ready to take the main line south toward Keeler. In the foreground, Locomotive #9, which has just arrived with a northbound mixed train is now moving light, about to take the turn table for a spin to face south.
This re-creation was staged during a March, 2023 photo shoot at the Laws Museum, near Bishop, California, featuring Southern Pacific Locomotive #18, which was visiting for the second time since its restoration back in 2017.
