BELVA OK May 15 1978 — ATSF F45 5908 and two SD45s haul a mixed freight around the curve on their journey west. At the time of this picture numerous signal maintainer roads and a friendly railroad made access by vehicle to photo locations easy. EMD built the unit as ATSF 1908 in June 1968. In the March-July 1970 general renumbering it became ATSF 5908. In June 1983 it was rebuilt and renumbered to F45u/SDF45 5959. It was retired in February 1994 and was later acquired by Morrison Knudsen as MKCX 5527. Morrison Knudsen scrapped the unit. My photo.
