Denver & Rio Grande 4-6-0 No. 168 has just finished climbing the east slope of Cumbres Pass as a helper on a double-headed passenger special the afternoon of August 27, 2021. The locomotive is about to cut off and proceed to the water plug, filling the tender tank, before going downgrade light engine to Chama, New Mexico.
