UP 417 takes the lead on a freight getting ready to depart their Argo Yard in Seattle, WA and head to Portland. The second unit is a Cotton Belt SD45. SD24s were fairly common on UP's Seattle bound trains, but as SD40-2s grew in number, they were relegated to more secondary assignments such as hump duty at Hinkle (1978).
