    Remarks & Notes
PURCELL OK Feb 15 1981 — A grungy day and a grungy locomotive. Santa Fe U33C 8502 holds the main on its way south with a covered hopper train. I believe the cantilever was donated to the Oklahoma Railway Museum a few years ago. GE delivered the locomotive in June 1969 in the Bookends scheme. Sometime after June 1972 it was repainted in the Yellow Warbonnet scheme. Santa Fe retired it in December 1984 and eventually returned it to the lessor. In early 1985 it was sold to Precision National Corporation. The trail goes cold there. Corrections welcome. My photo.
