FARWELL TX July 7 1986 — Santa Fe C30-7 8146 awaits an assignment. A few days later I shot this unit west of Mountainaire NM. GE built the 8146 as an RCE Locotrol master in June 1981 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet. As part of the proposed merger of Santa Fe and Southern Pacific it was painted in SPSF red and yellow warbonnet sometime between July 31 1985 and July 7 1986. It was retired in SPSF paint. My photo.
