Like a red-tipped arrow, Santa Fe GP60M 111 leads a westbound downgrade toward Seligman, as seen from the old Route 66 overpass. Just around the curve in the distance, the original mainline via Pineveta and Ash Fork followed a much more circuitous and steeper route toward Williams than the present 1960 line change.
