| Isle of Safety.
Hartford Electric Light Co. no. 1 (GE, 1949) is seen idling next to the Isle of Safety at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. The shelter was built in 1913 in Hartford's State House Square to provide shelter and protect pedestrians waiting for trolley cars, and later buses, from traffic in the street. |
