AMTK No 119 leads its train through the Allegheny tunnel in Gallitzin, PA, bound for Pittsburgh. The Gallitzin tunnel was built in 1854 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, and later expanded to 2 tracks in 1995. To the left is the now out of service Gallitzin tunnel which was completed in 1904. Though part of the town of Gallitzin is located on a bill above these tunnels, the name "Tunnel Hill" is reserved for a town just to the south, which is located above the New Portage tunnel which was built in 1855 by by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the New Portage Railroad which the PRR later purchased in 1857.
The electrified Northeast Corridor and Keystone Corridor have the traffic. The Pennsylvanian and Capitol Limited routed, which are all diesel, have the scenery.
