    Remarks & Notes
A year ago, If someone told me that there would be NS M-2's in 2023, i wouldn't have believed them. But here we are. Norfolk southern's power shortage forced them to take several SD70M-2's out of the storage lines in Roanoke. Seen here is one of those M-2's leading grain train NS 50V. An overflow in Linwood forced them to have to back it up and tie it down on the S line, until they can figure out what to do with it.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
