The amount of indoor track space inside the cavernous main shop at Union Pacific’s Downing B. Jenks Shop in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is impressive. On the northeast side of the shop facing the transfer table on May 18, 2015, several UP locomotives await their turn inside, but still have a lot of work done to them outside before hitting the floor.
