In Rheineck, the railcar BDeh 1/2 # 1 "Liseli" of the Bergbahn Rheineck-Walzenhausen (RhW, part of the Appenzeller Bahnen since 2006) makes a connection with the "Flirt" RABe 526 # 051 of the Südostbahn, running as S4 from Altst?tten via St.Margrethen-St.Gallen-Wattwil-Uznach-Ziegelbrücke-Sargans to Buchs (SG). The RhW is running every half an hour during most of the day, and every hour when there is lower demand.
