| Intercity traffic between Zurich and Stuttgart via Schaffhausen-Singen and vice versa has meanwhile been switched to the Stadler built double-decker "IC2K" (Intercity doubledeck Type KISS) trains of Deutsche Bahn (purchased from the Austrian Westbahn). For several months in the summer of 2023, however, these trains will only run between Zurich and Singen (Hohentwiel) because the Singen-Stuttgart line is closed due to construction work in the Horb area (construction of a double-track section). DB's six-car 4010 # 007 ("4107") runs as IC 488 Zurich-Singen between Rafz and Lottstetten towards Schaffhausen. The trains are approved for 200 km/h, but they can nowhere come close to this speed on this line. |
