ACes In The Hole | A colorful lashup of four SD70ACes leads the southbound Fort Smith Turn out of Springdale, AR at dusk on a hot Wednesday, June 28, 2023 evening. Despite the different liveries, the four units are all part of the Arkansas & Missouri fleet. While 70 and 72 are painted in the standard AM scheme, 73 still wears its paint from its former owner - the Kansas City Southern. Leading the train is 71, which is in a base coat of red primer, yet to have been repainted after a significant derailment in early 2022. The turn - labeled FSTN - has just begun their overnight journey and is seen here passing a Tyson Foods mill.
